International Students wanting to attend NSU need to complete several steps. Contact the Enrollment Services to receive all the necessary information (write to NSU Enrollment Services, 1200 S. Jay Street, Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401, call 1-800-NSU-5330, or send email to admissions@northern.edu).

The following is a list of steps that will need to be completed:

1. Complete an undergraduate application.
2. Send in a $20.00 application fee. This fee must be in United States currency only.
3. Submit transcripts of grades from schools attended. These transcripts must possess the official stamp or seal of the school.

4. Northern State University requires International Students to meet the following minimum language requirements.

   • TOEFL:

     Paper-based test (PBT): 500
     Computer-based test (CBT): 173
     (last test score on September 30, 2006 valid until September 30, 2008)
     Internet-based test (IBT): 61

   • Complete the Declaration of Finances.
   • Complete the Required Immunization Form.
