Hobbies\Interests- I’m kind
of a geek. I enjoy video games, including Xbox 360 and Nintendo
Wii. (Favorite games include Half Life 2, Resident Evil 4, BioShock,
and King’s Quest.) I also enjoy reading. But fear not, I do
make it outdoors once in awhile. I’ve been an avid camper
and hiker since my early days as a Boy Scout.
Favorite Food- Without a doubt…Pizza is my
Achilles heal. I also enjoy Italian. In fact, if I could build only
one franchised restaurant on a deserted island…it would be
Johnny Carino’s. My least favorite food would have to be seafood.
And I’m not too keen on carnival food either.
Best Campus Memories- My fondest campus memory
is probably my first week that I spent on campus when I started
in the Enrollment Services office. Everyone that I encountered was
so helpful and welcoming…I knew I’d come to the right
place.
Two things I love about Aberdeen- Wiley Park and
Storybook Land. When you can drive Go Karts and stroll through Oz…you’ve
found heaven
Something most people do not know about me- I served
in the Coast Guard for four years and traveled to Antarctica and
back in 2001.
Three things I always have with me when I travel-
A good book, Map Quest directions (which invariably steer me into
the worst parts of whatever village, town, city I happen to be traveling
in,) and my iPod.
What makes Northern State University the
right fit for students? The amazing faculty and staff combine
with awesome facilities to create a ‘Perfect Storm’
of education for students. Ok, that is a cheesy reference. But the
faculty and staff ARE dedicated to providing excellence for our
student body.
What sets Northern State University apart
from other universities? Northern State University is like
a rolling boulder in an Indiana Jones film…things are always
moving forward and there is always something exciting in the wings!
Why is everybody talking about Northern
State University? Aside from the well documented UFO sightings
that occur once every 143 years…people are talking about Northern
State University because we’re the best place to get an education
AND build skills for life!
