WESLEYAN SWEEPS NORTHERN STATE

- The Northern State University baseball team was swept by Dakota
Wesleyan 13-7, 12-5 on Wednesday afternoon in Mitchell. The losses
send the Wolves record to 2-8 on the season.

Dakota Wesleyan
scored five runs in the second inning and eight in the third to
put up 13 runs on the Wolves in their 13-7 win on Wednesday. NSU's
Deacon Burns was 2-for-3 from the plate while Wesley Fisbeck
was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Dave Holoch was 1-for-4
with 2 RBI on the game.

Dakota Wesleyan
completed the sweep over NSU on Wednesday with 12 runs on 16 hits
in its 12-5 win. Jay Duehring and Steve Rixen each
collected two hits for the Wolves while both Rixen and Dave Holoch
each hit a home run in the game. Joe Dinger struck out five
and gave up five earned runs in five innings of work in the loss.
Northern State
(2-8) is scheduled to host Jamestown next Tuesday at Fossum Field
in Aberdeen.
