Burns Named NSIC Baseball Player of the Week

Minneapolis, MN - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) named Deacon Burns (So., CF, Brownwood, Texas) NSIC Player of the Week for his player over the week ending April 25th, 2004.
In six games over the week, Burns went 14-22 (.636), scoring 10 runs, with nine runs batted in, four homeruns, three doubles and a slugging percentage of 1.318. Burns had 13 putouts and was perfect in the field. He recorded a .667 on-base percentage. In the second game against Minnesota-Crookston on April 21st, Burns went 5-6 with three home runs, four runs scored and five runs batted in.
