Players Help Renovate
the Floor at the Storybook Land castle
|
ABERDEEN,
SD: The Northern State football team took a day off of practice
today to participate in the “Day of Champions”. The day long
event saw over 120 athletes and coaches work in conjunction
with the United Way to volunteer their time in a community
service project around the City of Aberdeen and surrounding
communities.
NSU volunteers
assisted at the YMCA, Safe Harbor, New Beginnings, Aberdeen
Parks and Recreation, the City of Aberdeen, Tiger Post Community
Education Center and SPURS. The players and coaches assisted
with jobs such as renovating the castle at Storybook Land,
cleaning, city beautification, landscaping and painting.
Northern
will have the day off of practice on Sunday and will resume
multiple practices on Monday and throughout the next week.
