Bak Ties for 14th at the Golden Bear Spring Invite

ST. PAUL, Minn – Freshman Clay Bak (Castlewood, SD) tied for 14th at the Golden Bear Spring Invite on April 17th, 2007. Bak shot a 41 on the first nine holes and a 39 on the back nine for a round of 80. Freshman Andrew Glenn was the only other Wolves participant as he finished with a round of 90. Schelle Finishes 7th At AC Invite

SIOUX FALLS, SD – Sophomore Dustin Schelle (Chamberlain, SD) posted a seventh place finish in NSU's first spring golf competition of the year at the Augustana Invite. Shelle's mark of 74 put him among the top of the 89 athletes competing in the event. The Invite was originally scheduled for two days of action, but Saturday's rounds were cancelled due to the weather and poor course conditions. Full Results
17 Fall Athletes Named All-Academic

ABERDEEN, SD – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate office has released this year's 2006 NSIC All-Academic Team. Northern State had 17 fall sport athletes named to the list. To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. Furthermore, the student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at the institution represented with one full year completed at that particular institution. Full Release
Women's Golf Posts Season High Scores
BECKER, Minn. – The Northern State women's golf team wrapped up the 2006 fall season with their best showing of the year, finishing at the NSIC Tournament with a final score of 786. Full Story

Wolves Finish 13th
September 17, 2006
ABERDEEN, SD - The Northern State men's golf team finished 13th at the NDSU/Concordia College Invite Sept. 15-17 with a final score of 677 (344, 333). Clay Bak was NSU's top finisher, posting a score of 157 after the two rounds of play (79, 78). Andy Glenn finihsed in 163 swings (83, 80), Dustin Schelle came in with 167 (89, 78), and Ben Funovits scored 190 (93, 97).

Craig Nelson Earns All-Conference Honors Again
Craig Nelson (Mayville, N.D.) finished with rounds of 75 and 77 to finish tied for fourth place with a 152 at the NSIC Championship. The top eight finishers in the tournament are named to the NSIC All-Conference Team. This marks the second year in a row that Nelson has been named All-Conference after he finished in sixth place last season.
