Northern State pulled away early and wasn't threatened in the second half of its 72-52 win at Minnesota-Morris Saturday.
The Wolves (13-11 overall, 10-6 NSIC) shot just 37 percent from the field, but made up for it by outrebounding the Cougars 57-31. Junior post Brad Hansen (Tea) notched his second career double-double, totaling a career second-best 17 points and 11 rebounds (including five offensive boards). Senior guard Scott Hanson (Tolna, N.D.) scored 16 points and junior post Andy Foster (Caledonia, Minn.) 10 to round out NSU's double-digit scorers. Tory Spanier led UMM (3-21, 1-15 NSIC) with 12 points.
