Crookston, Minn. – Northern State flew past Minnesota, Crookston 101-65 as the Wolves scored more points in the first half (66) than the Golden Eagles did on the game. The Wolves 66 first half points in a record high for a first half dating back through the 1998-99 season. NSU’s Jarod Obering (Sr., G, Beatrice, Neb.) was a perfect 6 of 6 from the floor including hitting five three pointers and all five of his free throws. Matt Hammer (Jr., G, Elkton, S.D.) scored fifteen points and had nine rebounds, eight of which were in the first half. Obering hit career highs in three-point % (100%) and free throw percentage (100%)
The Wolves came out red hot as they hit 76% (23-30) from the field and 75% (9-12) from downtown in the first half as the scored the most points ever in the first half of a game dating back through the 1998-99 season. The Wolves finished the night hitting 68% (34-50) from the field and 63.6% (14-22) from three-point range.
Bjoern Schoo (Jr., C, Germany) scored a career high 19 points and blocked a career high four shots in the game. Aaron Busack (Jr., C, Redwood Falls, Minn.) scored 13 points on 5 of 7 shooting and grabbed five boards.
