WOLVES FALL TO SDSU TWICE

April 4, 2001

The Wolves traveled to Brookings, S.D. to play on unfriendly turf as they fell to the Jackrabbits 0-8 in game number one and 1-2 in the second game.

In the first game, the Wolves' bats were stifled by SDSU's pitching, as senior Anne Toulouse (Emmons, S.D.) was the only Wolf to muster a hit, and the Wolves struck out 12 times. The loss dropped NSU's season record to 2-7.

In game number two the Wolves scraped together 4 hits but were only able to muster one run in the 1-2 loss. Sophomore Amy Gurney pitched an excellent game for the Wolves as she scattered 9 hits and allowed only 2 runs over six innings. The Wolves are currently 2-8 and are set to take on the University of Mary on Thursday at 3:00 pm.
