Joplin, Mo. - No runs were scored until the top of the seventh inning. Northwest freshman Janelle Krohn led-off the frame with a single. Freshman Megan Stalder, who pinch-ran for Krohn, was bunted over by sophomore Tami Phillips. Freshman Amy Farrow made her first career round-tripper a memorable one as she sent home Stalder and gave the Bearcats the 2-0 lead. Sophomore Talina Canon, who came in relief of starter senior Shelly MacDonald, notched her third save of the year as she pitched the seventh inning. MacDonald picked up her fifth win of the year as she has now allowed a mere two runs in 40-plus innings in 2005.
