ABERDEEN, S.D. – Northern State breezed past Hub City rival Presentation College by the scores of 8-0 and 14-3 at Manor Park. The Wolves shut out the Saints in game one, which went only six innings. Game two saw the Wolves come on late again as the scored ten runs in the top of the fifth inning to end the game after five innings of play.

Emily Howlett had a great day at the plate as she went 2 for 4 in the game one, with three RBIs and two runs scored. In game two she went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and a run scored.

Lisa Koehler pitched a gem in game one as she went all six innings, giving up just two hits, while striking out 12 of the 21 batters she faced. Koehler also picked up her first win of the season in the game.

Audrey Decker pitched game two for the Wolves; she gave up three runs on five hits over five innings of work. Decker improved to 2-1 on the season. The Saints struggled in the field as they committed eight errors in the second game, and 11 on the day.

The Wolves take on MSU Moorhead tomorrow afternoon at 3:00 p.m. at Moccasin Creek Softball Complex in Aberdeen. Both games will be non-conference games.
