Schulte Named NSIC Pitcher of the Week

ABERDEEN, SD. – Northern State senior pitcher Christi Schulte has been named NSIC Pitcher of the Week. From Sioux Falls, SD, Schulte gave the Wolves their first three Northern Sun wins of the season last week, giving up just two earned runs in five appearances.
In pitching the three wins last week, Schulte finished with an ERA of .037. She pitched four complete games while allowing just two earned runs, striking out 22 batters in 37.2 innings of work. She walked just six batters. Against Concordia-St. Paul, Schulte fanned six batters and did not give up an earned run through nine innings of work. She marked five K's did not allow an earned run, and did not walk a batter in the 3-2 ten inning win over Wayne State.
