WOLVES AND BISON PLAY TO 1-1 TIE

FARGO, ND - Northern State and North Dakota State played to a 1-1 tie on Sunday afternoon in Fargo, N.D.

The Wolves notched a goal in the 53rd minute when Reagan Whitely scored off of a pass from Jill Laydon to put the visiting team up 1-0.

Just three minutes later, the Bison would answer when Caitlin Schultz received a pass from Erin Ellsworth to tie the score.

Northern put three shots on goal compared to one for the Bison in the two extra periods but no shot found a home in the net to end the game at a tie.

NSU's Emily Herbst made 12 saves for the Wolves while NDSU's Jessica Nei stopped six.

Northern State (3-0-1) will host the University of Sioux Falls in Aberdeen on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
