EAGLES PLAY TO 1-1 TIE
Crookston,
Minn. - The Northern State soccer team finished its weekend
road trip without a win. After falling 1-0 to Bemidji State
on Saturday, the Wolves finished in a 1-1 deadlock with
Minnesota, Crookston on Sunday afternoon.
UMC
got on the board first with a goal by Melanie Techau and
took the one-goal lead into the half.
NSU's
Suanne Lampert answered 14:00 into the second half with
an unassisted goal to finish the game at a 1-1 tie.
UMC
outshot the Wolves on the day with eight shots on goal compared
to NSU's six.
Wolf
goalkeeper Emily Herbst stopped seven shots while allowing
one goal.
NSU
(8-1-2, 1-1-1 NSIC) will host Minnesota-Duluth on Saturday
in Aberdeen.
