WOLVES STUMBLE AT WINONA STATE

Winona, Minn. - The Northern State soccer team lost by a score of 2-1 to Winona State on Sunday afternoon in NSIC soccer action.

Winona State began the scoring when Aubrey Dirks put the Warriors up 1-0 with a goal in the 18th minute. The Wolves came back to tie the score on a Melissa Gamble goal five minutes later. WSU went ahead for good, however, eight minutes into the second half when Kristin Ruhsam scored off of a pass from Amy Budish to give the Warriors the win.

Winona State found an advantage in shots 14-9 while NSU got six shots on goal compared to Winona's five.

Emily Herbst made three saves in the loss for the Wolves while Winona State's Kathry Kramer turned away five NSU shots.

Northern State (9-4-2, 2-3-1 NSIC) will play at South Dakota State on Sunday afternoon.
