Northern State Falls to Winona State in NSIC Tournament Championship
Winona Edges Wolves 3-1 in a Shoot Out

Winona, Minn. -It came down to overtime at the 2005 NSIC Soccer Tournament. No. 1 Winona State won its second straight tournament title Sunday over No. 3 Northern State. The two teams played to a 0-0 double overtime tie, but the Warriors outscored the Wolves in the shootout, 3-1 to win the title. The Warriors also won the regular-season championship.

In the third place game, No. 4 Wayne State and No. 2 Bemidji State were tied at 2-2 at the end of regulation. After two scoreless overtime periods, the Wildcats edged the Beavers 4-3 in penalty kicks to win third place.
