Wolves
Honor Parents
The
Northern Sate University Track and Field team hosted a four team
quadrangular on parents' night and before a large crowd in the Barnett
Center the wolves came away with nine individual champions and two
second place team finishes.
Individual
champions included Katie Anderson (So., Groton, SD) in the 55 hurdles,
long jump and 55 dash, Jocelyn Dockendorf (Fr., Corsica, SD) shot
put, LeAnne Bonin (Sr., Redfield, SD) Weight throw, Micah Arnold
(Jr., Northridge CA) 55-Meter Hurdles, Charlie Johnston (Fr., Aberdeen,
SD) long jump, Eric Schwan (So., Aberdeen, SD) triple jump, and

The
wolves were in a close team points race with Black Hills State as
the two schools dominated over the field with Black Hills State
coming out on top with the wolves a close second. Field events seemed
to be the order of the day for the home team with the Wolves sweeping
the top two spot in the women's shot put, women's long jump, women's
weight throw, men's long jump and men's triple jump.
The
highlight of the meet came when two NCAA II national qualifying
marks were reached. Both marks occurred in the Women's Shot put
with Jocelyn Dockendorf tossing for a mark of 44' 10 " and LeAnne
Bonin reaching a distance of 44' 3".
