ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Northern State women's basketball team had three players honored for their play in 2006-07 by being named to All-Northern Sun Conference teams, released today by the NSIC office. Junior Noelle Hall received the highest honor after being named to the First Team, while senior Carolin Becker was named to the Second Team and senior Miranda Boepple was named Honorable Mention.

Noelle Hall, a native of Altura, MN, was one of five players named to the All-NSIC First Team. This is the third consecutive year that the junior center has made the cut on the First Team. Hall is leading the Wolves with 14.4 points per game, which ranks her fifth in scoring among all NSIC players. She also leads the team and is tied for fourth in the league on the rebounding front with 7.7 boards per game. So far this season, Hall has added 35 blocked shots to her career total, which now rests at 108 and is fifth in school history. Hall has shot 52.7 percent from the field (167-317) this season and has scored a career high 28 points twice this year, both times against Bemidji State. She surpassed the 1,000 point mark as a Wolf on December 29, 2006 and has scored in double figures in 21 of NSU's 28 games played this season.

This marks the first time that senior forward Carolin Becker, from Beulah, ND, has been named to an All-Conference team. Becker ranks 16th in the NSIC in scoring with a career high 11.1 points per game. Her rebounding stats are also at a career high, as she is averaging 6.8 boards per game, which ranks 7th in the league. Becker became the 25th NSU player to score 1,000 points in a career on December 18, 2006 and has tallied 1,166 career points. She is shooting 49.8 percent from the field (113-227) this season.

Miranda Boepple has been named All-NSIC Honorable Mention after scoring 9.3 points per game and leading the Wolves with 83 assists, an average of 3.07 dimes per game. The senior forward from Dickinson, ND ranks third in the NSIC this season with a free throw mark of 85.7 percent (72-84) and has moved into a tie for third among NSU's all-time free throw shooters with a career mark of 81.3 percent (231-283) from the charity stripe.
