WOLVES ROLL OVER HURON

Nov. 15, 1998

The Wolves started the season by lambasting Huron University 105-51 in Wachs Arena Sunday.

The junior guard tandem of Jammie Coyle (Belle Fourche, S.D.) and Amanda Mikuska (Platte, S.D.)  scored 19 points apiece as the Wolves rolled after a somewhat slow start. Coyle also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and five steals. Mikuska had a team-high six assists.

After playing even with the Screaming Eagles for the first 10 minutes of the game, the Wolves went on a 20-5 run to turn what was a 20-16 slight edge into a 40-21 comfortable margin and suddenly the makings of a blowout with just under six minutes to go in the first half.

Sophomore forward Memory Johannsen (Tolstoy, S.D.) and freshman guard Amanda Dietrich (Mandan, N.D.) rounded out the Wolves double-digit scorers on the afternoon with 12 and 11 points, respectively.

NSU (1-0) plays at Nebraska-Omaha Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
