ABERDEEN,
SD - Behind Freshman forward Carolyn Becker the Wolves snapped their
second four-game losing streak of the season. The Beulah, ND native
led the way for Northern going 10-14 from the field en route to
a 21 point performance. To go along with her scoring, Becker also
grabbed six rebounds. The Wolves also recieved double figure scoring
efforts from Michelle Hanson (11), Carin Rambow (10), and Amber
Powell (11).
As
a result of a tough Northern defense, the Eagles of Crookston were
only able to ink one double digit scorer in Karna Plaine. Plaine
scored 10 points on the night. NSU was able to hold conference scoring
leader Kari Score to just nine points on the evening.
With
the win the Wolves move to 12-11 overall with a 7-5 NSIC record.
The Wolves are back in action Saturday night when the take on Bemijdi
State. Tip-off time is 6:00 pm.
