Wolves Sweep Winona State

WINONA, Minn. – Northern State jumped out to an early 18-6 lead on their way to a 69-44 win on the road over Winona State. The win put the Wolves back in the NSIC race as they are 14-9 overall and 6-4 in the NSIC. The Wolves had four players in double figures in the win.

The Wolves led the entire game as MirandaBoepple (So., F, Dickinson, N.D.), CarolinBecker (So., F, Beulah, N.D.) and Noelle Hall (Fr., C, Altura, Minn.) all scored 12 points, while Melissa Braaten (R-So., G, Stillwater, Minn.) added 11.

The Wolves hit 38% (8-21) from three-point range compared to 14% (5-34) from the Warriors. The Wolves bench also outscored Winona State’s 22-0 in the game.

The Wolves return home for “I Hate Winter” next Friday and Saturday when they host Bemidji State and Minnesota, Crookston.
