Wolves Pound Peacocks 79-50 in Non-Conference Play
Fayette, Iowa - Northern State (16-3, 6-1 NSIC) started the game off on a 10-0 run and never looked back in a 79-50 non-conference affair against Upper Iowa (5-16). The Wolves improve to 2-0 all-time against the Peacocks and 1-0 in Fayette, Iowa.
The Wolves opened up a 20-2 lead seven minutes into the game and extended that to a 41-19 halftime advantage.
Noelle Hall (So., C, Altura, Minn.) collected her second double double in as many games as she scored 16 points and snared 12 rebounds. Hall was a perfect 8 of 8 from the field in only 18 minutes of play.
Ali Chmielewski (Sr., F, Foley, Minn.) was the only other Wolf in double figures as she scored 14 points on 5 of 6 shooting. She also had four assists and three rebounds.
The Wolves finished the game shooting 45.6% (31-68) while the Peacocks were 20 of 57 (35%) from the field.
The Wolves out rebounded the Peacocks 49 to 30 and 16 to 6 on the offensive end. Both teams had 20 turnovers.
