Noelle Hall (So., C, Altura, Minn.) was named NSIC Player of the Week for her outstanding performances over the weekend. This marks the first time in Hall's career that she has been named the NSIC Player of the Week and she is the first player from Northern State to receive the honor this season.
Hall nearly averaged a double double over the weekend as she averaged 24 ppg, 9.5 rpg and was 21-of-28 (75%) from the field. Hall started the weekend scoring a game high 24 points on 11-of-15 shooting and grabbing seven rebounds at Bemidji State. Hall backed that up with her seventh double double of the season as she scored another 24 points and grabbed 12 rebounds at Minnesota, Crookston.
Hall currently ranks first in the NSIC in block shots (1.88 bpg), second in field goal percentage (55.6%), and third in scoring (15.0 ppg) and rebounding (8.0 rpg). Hall also has recorded seven double double this season, nine games with ten or more rebounds and seven games with 20 or more points.
Northern State women’s basketball is currently 20-5 overall and 9-3 in the NSIC. The Wolves need one more win to secure a second place finish in the NSIC. The Wolves host SW Minnesota State and No. 20 Wayne State (NE) this Friday and Saturday at the Barnett Center in Aberdeen, S.D. Saturday night will be Senior Night and “I Hate Winter” at the Barnett Center. Both Friday and Saturday’s games are slated for 6:00 p.m. CST. The Wolves will also host a first round game in the NSIC Tournament on March 1 st. That game will also be played at 6:00 p.m.
