Northern State sophomore Dale Daugherty (Huron, S.D.) finished seventh at the 197-pound class at the 1999 NCAA II Wrestling Championships in Omaha, Neb., Saturday. Daugherty's 2-2 finish on the weekend earned him All-American status going into next season. The top eight wrestlers at each weight class in the national championships are awarded the honor.

Here is how Daughery fared at nationals:
Friday - Jon Bush, Colorado School of Mines, maj. dec. Daugherty 10-2; Daugherty receives bye; Daugherty dec. Clell Cox, Ashland University (Ohio), 3-0.

Saturday - Jason Klingensmith, Pittsburgh-Johnstown, pinned Daugherty, 3:19; Daugherty dec. Josh Waugh, West Liberty (W. Va.) 6-4. DAUGHERTY FINISHES SEVENTH IN THE NATION.
