Northern
State dropped a 24-12 decision in a non-conference dual at
St. Cloud State Thursday.
The
Wolves, now 3-3 in dual action this season, scored four decisions
on the night. Junior 184-pounder Joey Krause (Aberdeen) got
the team on the board with a 7-5 decision over SCSU's Nate
Whiting to make the score 12-3, but it was as close as NSU
would get. Krause is ranked seventh in the nation at 184 pounds.
Also
ranked seventh nationally in his weight class is SCSU's Dustin
Darveaux, who gave Northern's Baron Blanchard (Kindred, N.D.)
his third loss of the season with a pin at 1 minute, 57 seconds.
Senior 133-pounder Richard Goethals (Belle Fourche), senior
141-pounder Todd Currey and Sophomore 149-pounder Dana Dargatz
(Webster) picked up decisions for NSU in the last three matches
