AUGUSTANA HOLDS OFF NORTHERN STATE, 24-9

ABERDEEN, S.D.: The No. 15 ranked Augustana College wrestlers handed Northern State a 24-9 defeat tonight in front of nearly 200 fans in the Barnett Center. The loss marked the Wolves’ first dual setback of the season and drops their dual record to 3-1 on the year.

The Vikings captured seven of the ten matchups on the night earning five decisions, one major decision and one technical fall on the night. The Wolves gained three decisioins at 165, 197 and heavyweight.

Augustana improves to 2-1 on the year in duals. Northern State faces No. 7 South Dakota State on Saturday night in Aberdeen.
