NO. 3 BISON TOO MUCH FOR NORTHERN GRAPPLERS February 12 , 2003 Fargo, N.D .: The No. 3-ranked North Dakota State Bison proved to be too much for No. 19 Northern State in Fargo on Wednesday night. The Bison used two Northern forfeits and two wins by fall to defeat the Wolves 41-3 in the non-conference wrestling dual. Northern's lone win came at heavyweight where No. 5 Baron Blanchard outlasted NDSU's Chris Tuchscherer 4-2 in the final match-up of the night.. In the match, NDSU's Paul Carlson set the school single-match takedown record with 12 against Brandon Braun in his 29-11 technical fall victory. The Bison have won their last 11 home wrestling duals and are a perfect 7-0 against the Wolves all-time. Northern State drops to 6-5 in duals this season and will compete in the NSIC tournament on Sunday in Morris, Minn.
