MANKATO, MN - The Northern State wrestling squad took the show on the road Wednesday night to Mankato, MN. Awaiting the Wolves was the number 12 team in the nation in Minnesota State University-Mankato. The Maverick roster includes three nationally ranked wrestlers compared to Northern's sole nationally ranked wrestler in Baron Blanchard.

The Wolves were once again hampered by injuries and forfeits. With regionals around the corner, the Wolves will no doubt be able to take some good things away from the wins and losses at Mankato hoping to advance as many wrestlers as they can to nationals.

Jamie Andersh - Freshman

The Wolves recieved strong performances once again from Blanchard and Sinclair. Despite losing, Sinclair wrestled #7 in the nation Jason Rhoten to a 6-2 decision. Staple performer Senior Baron Blanchard picked up another win boosting his season record to 27-3. In addition, Freshman Jamie Andersh picked up a 4-1 win over Mankato's Bryce Baha.

Regionals will be the weekend of February 28, 2004 in St. Cloud Minnesota. The top four wrestlers from each class will advance to the National tournament on March 12-13 in Mankato, MN
