Wolves Stalk the Cobbers

Moorhead, Minn. - The Northern State University Wolves (3-5, 0-2 NSIC) squeaked by the Concordia Moorhead Cobbers (4-4) 19-13 in a non-conference match-up. The win broke a four match losing streak for the Wolves. The Wolves were able to come away with wins in six of the ten matches in the dual. Eight of the ten matches were won by decision and the other two were by major decision.

The Wolves were led by Dana Dargatz (Sr., Webster, S.D.) who won his match by major decision 11-0 and improved his overall record to 10-8 on the season. Todd Naasz (R-So., Mobridge, S.D.) ranked 8th in the nation at 197lbs improved his record to 20-9 on the year with his 5-2 decision over Ed Oehlers.

For Concordia Lee Rahrlien picked up his 23rd win of the season defeating Matt Englund 10-4 and John Fradette picked up his 24th win on the season defeating Mark Burkart 15-2.

The Wolves will return to action on February 9th when they host SW Minnesota State at 7:00 pm in the Barnett Center.
