Wolves Edge Out a Split Between Dickinson State and Jamestown College

Jamestown, S.D.- The Northern State University Wolves (4-7, 0-3 NSIC) faced two of the top teams in NAIA on Saturday in Jamestown, N.D. They fell to the #3 ranked team Dickinson State 25-9 to open up the day but came back against #10 Jamestown winning on criteria.

Matt Englund and Jesse Wood won both of their matches on the day. Englund defeated the #5 ranked wrestler in NAIA Tyson Springer 7-2 and he got the major decision against Jamestown's Keenan Funk 16-2. Wood defeated Marcos Austin of DSU 7-2 and Jake Esser of Jamestown College 7-5.

Other Wolves that got wins on the day were Logan Hayman, Dana Dargatz, Jason Hill and Todd Naasz.

The Wolves will be back in action on Februray 15th when they travel to Brookings, S.D. to take on the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 7:00 pm.
