Wolves fall to Huskies 27-16

ST. CLOUD, Minn..- St. Cloud State Huskies used three pins on the afternoon to defeat the Northern State Wolves 27-16 in St. Cloud, Minn. With the loss the Wolves drop to 1-4 on the year. This was the Wolves first loss to the Huskies in the last four duals.

The Wolves got on win on the day from their 125lb wrestler #6 Chas Welch 5-1 over St. Cloud State's Westy Hanson as he remains undefeated on the season at 14-0. NSU's other wins on the day came from their 157lb wrestler Phillip Downs 6-1 over SCSU's Adam Minnette and their 197lb wrestler Todd Naasz 11-1 over Jairo Sandoval. With the win Downs moves to 9-6 and Naasz improves to 7-3 on the season. The Wolves final points came off of a St. Cloud State forfiet at the heavyweight match.

The Wolves will be in action next when they travel to Blair, Neb. to take on Dana College on January 17th at 7:00 pm. Full Results
