Wolves Go 1-3 in Warrensburg, Mo.

WARRENSBURG, Mo.- The Northern State wrestling team went 1-3 in the Central Missouri Dual Jamboree on Saturday January 27.

The Wolves (2-11) split their first two matches on the day, losing to the host team 16-23 before defeating SIU-Edwardsville 28-11. In their last two matches, the Wolves fell to Truman State 27-17 and to Chadron State 41-0.

Chas Welch went 2-0 on the day defeating UCM's Seth Norman 9-5 and SIU-Edwardsville's Scott Audo 7-1. With the victories, Welch improves his record on the season to 16-1. Todd Naasz and Cale Cornemann both went 3-1 on the day for the Wolves. They both won their first three matches but fell to Chadron State opponents.

The Wolves will be in action again on February 2nd when they take on the Augustana College Vikings in Aberdeen, S.D. Wreslting will begin at 7:00 pm.
