NSU Ranked #19 In National Preseason Poll

EDMOND, Okla. - The Northern State wrestling team received a #19 ranking in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches' Association Preseason Poll, released Tuesday by the NCAA. Individually, Andy Sinclair (Sr., Gregory, S.D.) topped all NSIC wrestlers with a #3 ranking at the 174-lb. class. The Wolves open the 2007-08 season on November 3 at the South Dakota State Open.
The Wolves were one of three NSIC squads ranked in the NCAA poll. Upper Iowa came in at sixth place and MSU Moorhead was ranked 15th. Defending National Champion Central Oklahoma and Nebraska-Kearney topped all teams, sharing the number one spot.
Accompanying Sinclair in the individual rankings is Todd Naasz (Sr., Mobridge, S.D.), who is ranked 8th in the 197-lb. division.
