High School: Sisson wrestled at 152 pounds his senior year. While at Buhl High School he compiled an impressive 129-28 win loss record in four years of wrestling at the varsity level. He placed fourth in state in 2003 and 2004 and earned First Team All-State Academic Award in 2003. He was also a team captain.

Sisson, a high football stand out as well, received the 2003-04 Athletic Leadership Award, which is given to an athlete who has shown the most leadership on and off the athletic field and for service and dedication to Buhl Schools and the community. He was also a USAA All-American Scholar and received the USAA National Leadership Merit Award during his time at Buhl High School.

Sisson was an 11 year member of the Buhl Badger Freestyle Wrestling Club, where he placed three times at the Western Regional.
