2004-2005: Competed at 165 and 174 lbs. Had overall record of 22-11. Began season with a 6th place finish at SDSU Open and also placed 3rd at the Cobber open. Captured a 1st place finish at the St. Cloud Invite.

2003-2004: Wrestled at 157 with a 7-10 record, 5th at the Dakota Wesleyan Open

2002-2003: Finished season with 9-9 season record at 157 lbs, 4th at SDSU Open, 4th at Dakota Wesleyan Open

High School: Matt was in cross country and wrestling. Earning captain honors in wrestling. Matt was twice awarded hustler the award, leadership award, and was a 3 time state place winner.
