Michele (Lick) DeVriesA co-captain on the 1992 NAIA National Championship and the 1993 NAIA National Runner-up teams, Michele (Lick) DeVries was named First Team All-Tournament in 1992 and Second Team All-Tournament in 1993. In the semi-final game in 1992 against Western Oregon State College, DeVries recorded a triple double as she racked up 18 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. She currently ranks 27 th all-time in scoring in NSU history with her 988 points in her career.

As a member of the Track & Field team at NSU, DeVries held two outdoor records for the 4x100 & 4x200 relays and the Swisher Field record for the sprint medley. She was named a NAIA All-American in 1990 and 1993 for her performance in relays. She helped lead Northern State women’s track & field team to NSC team championships in 1992 (outdoor) and 1993 (indoor and outdoor).

DeVries has been living in Mitchell, SD since 1993, with her husband Kevin (a former baseball player at NSU), and their two sons; Sean (13) & Ryland (5).  For the past nine years DeVries has been a Customer Service Representative for Ronald Beukelman Agency (American Family Insurance). In the spring of 2003 she became licensed in Property & Casualty Insurance.  She is a volunteer with the Park & Rec Dept, helping with the local Hershey Track Meet each year & has helped coach soccer in recent years.
