Teams will earn a number of points equivalent to the percentage of the team that have a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher each semester. For example, if 65% of the soccer team has a G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher, they will earn 65 points.
Additionally, 5 bonus points will be awarded for each team member with a 4.0 for the semester.
Teams will earn points, equivalent to the percentage of the team in attendance, at any NSU varsity athletics event that is not their own sport OR at other campus-sponsored events such as CAB events, plays, concerts, etc.
5 points will also be awarded for Student Athlete Advisory Committee attendance by the team’s representative(s). 1 point will be awarded for any other team member in attendance.
Teams will earn points, equivalent to the percentage of the team that participates, who attend a resume critique and/or mock interview with the Career Development Center.
Teams can earn points equivalent to the percentage of the team attending any team sponsored, SAAC-approved event related to personal development. Teams sponsoring the event will receive an additional 20 points.
Teams will earn points participating in community service events equivalent to the percentage of the team that participates. An additional 20 points will be awarded to those teams having at least 80% team participation in one community service event.
*Student-athletes will be counted as part of the team if they are listed on the eligibility roster. A student-athlete can only be counted as part of one team at a time. For example, if a basketball player was also part of the golf team, his/her points could only be counted toward one of those teams.
