Northern State Athletic Media Relations Director Melissa Wolf

The Northern State University athletic media relations department is committed to providing accurate and timely information regarding Wolves athletics to local, regional and even national media outlets in order to promote and expose accomplishments and results of NSU athletics and its athletes to the region.
The NSU AMR department is responsible for providing press releases, game notes, media guides, game programs and statistics for all of Northern's 18 intercollegiate sports. It is also in charge of maintaining the university's athletic web site and keeping up to date records for each Northern State sport.
The department works closely with the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference office and the NCAA in providing the media and the public with pertinent information regarding Wolves athletics.
Biography:
Melissa Wolf is a native of Young America, Minnesota, where she graduated from Central High School in 1999. Wolf attended St. Cloud State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2003 and completed her Master's Degree in Sports Management in 2006. Wolf was also a student-athlete at St. Cloud State, competing in volleyball from 2000-2002.
Melissa served as a graduate assistant for SCSU's athletic media relations office for two years. She was the primary contact for volleyball, women's basketball, wrestling, baseball, and softball. Wolf also assisted with football, soccer, and men's and women's ice hockey. During her tenure, Wolf gained NCAA playoff experience as the women's basketball team won consecutive North Central Region Titles, advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight in 2004-05 and reaching the National Semifinals in 2005-06. Wolf also assisted with the men's tennis Regional in 2005. Prior to joining the staff at Northern State, Wolf served for a short time as a Media Relations Assistant at Texas Tech University.
