ELRN 553: COPYRIGHT LAW AND ELECTRONIC MEDIA
This course surveys copyright law and applies the principles to electronic media issues. Related topics include registration of domain names and federal anti-cyber squatting statutes. The course also deals with typical educational transactions as impacted by the Uniform Electronic Transaction Act and the Uniform Computer Information Transaction Act. Privacy issues related to educational records in the electronic age are related to FERPA, FOIA, open meeting and public records laws.
