THE NSU FOUNDATION
In recognition of the increasing importance of private funds in public higher education, the Northern State University Foundation was created in 1971 to bridge the gap between reduced state funding and increased costs owing to the high inflation of the time. Today, as then, foundation dollars are used primarily for student financial assistance.
The Northern State University Foundation is a 501(c) 3, not-for-profit corporation under applicable provisions of the Internal Revenue code. Contributions to the NSU Foundation are deductible under applicable sections of federal and state law.
