“This was a great weekend for NSU Speech and Debate. Going into the tournament we were an extremely young team going up against some very veteran competition, but I knew how great our NSU students were and they lived up to every bit of that potential,” said Kevin Sackreiter, coach of the Speech and Debate Team, “These back-to-back victories at the Dakota Championships the past two years allow Northern State University and the College of Arts and Sciences to be able to proudly claim to be the home to South Dakota and North Dakota’s premiere Intercollegiate Speech and Debate program.”

Members of the NSU Speech and Debate Team include Linse Christensen, Webster, James Ruehle, Lake Park, Iowa, Becky Johnson, Glenburn, N.D., Lenaya Kerlin, Devils Lake, N.D., Matt Delzer, Garrison, N.D.
