Kramer Hall is NSU's newly remodeled suite-style living community. Kramer is a co-ed residence hall housing 73 men and women. It honors Northern's ninth president, J. Howard Kramer. During his presidency from 1956 to 1968, President Kramer saw the development and construction of seven new buildings.

With 2-person and 4-person suites available, Kramer is setting the new standard for a more self-gratifying and independent residence hall living experience.

The 2-person suites include an extra-long twin size bed (which is loftable), a dresser, desk and chair, and a wardrobe. This suite has its own bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink as well as an oversized chair and micro-fridge. The 4-person suites includes two extra-long twin size beds (which are loftable) in each bedroom. A dresser, desk, chair and wardrobe are also provided for each resident in the suite. Each living area comes with a couch and chair, a table and chairs and also a micro-fridge.

Each room is network ready for high-speed internet and are also wireless internet capable as well as being wired with a local telephone number (extra fees apply) and fee-for-service cable TV access.

All floors will have a lobby area with a 42” flat screen TV, a study lounge and a full size kitchen and bathroom for the residents to utilize. The free laundry room is located on first floor. Kramer is a designated No Smoking environment.

Kramer is the residence hall located nearest to the Barnett Center (NSU's fitness/sports complex) and is near to Mewaldt-Jensen which houses the Tech Center. Three other residence halls are located near Kramer, making it convenient for inter-hall studying and socializing.
