A co-ed residence hall by floor, Lindberg Hall can accommodate 67 students and houses NSU's day care facilities, the Children's Center. The structure honors Dr. J. C. Lindberg, faculty member at Northern who was recognized as an outstanding scholar, poet, philosopher, teacher and founder of the South Dakota Poetry Society.
In the basement of the building there is a free laundry facility with 3 washers and 4 dryers nestled by the kitchen area that includes a microwave, a stove, a refrigerator, and a sink area with limited cabinet space. The main lobby can be found on the first floor along with vending machines and the hall office. The second floor includes an air-conditioned two room lobby with a TV and DVD player, a microwave and a toaster.
There is a sink in each room, along with a bunk bed and two dressers, closets, chairs and desks. The furniture is connected to the walls and cannot be moved. All rooms are wired for cable TV access (it can be arranged through a local cable company for a fee) as well as a telephone jack with local phone access. The student rooms are also wired for high speed internet access and there is also wireless internet access throughout the building.

Floor area is 12'10" wide x 12'3" long (door to window), closet to bed is 6'8" wide in most of the rooms in Lindberg.
