NSU Theater Presents the Sinfully Sharp “Altar Boyz”
Released April 9, 2010
(Aberdeen, S.D.) “Altar Boyz” opens at the Northern State University Johnson Fine Arts Center on Wed, Apr. 14 at 7:30 p.m. and will run nightly through Sat, Apr 17. Tickets for the production are currently available at the NSU bookstore.
Winner of the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical, and the 2006 and 2007 Broadway.com Audience Favorite award, “Altar Boyz” is a sinfully sharp parody about a heavenly boy band adored by critics and fans alike.
Audiences will delight at the sinfully irreverent story of Matthew, Paul Hoselton of Fargo, N.D., Mark, Danie Jensen of Wilmot, Luke, Jordan Kjellsen of Groton, Juan, Ben Villa of Rapid City, and Abraham, Ben Kraft of Mobridge, who are singing and dancing, Christian heartthrobs. Prepare to share in the antics of this fictitious Christian boy-band on the last night of their “Raise the Praise” tour where they will question their devotion to each other and discover whether or not their faith is what keeps them together. With the tight harmonies, energetic choreography, and irreverent parody, “Altar Boyz” is a must see.
