Center of Excellence in Entrepreneurship and Interanational Business (CEIB)
Center of Excellence in International Business & Entrepreneurship

The Center for Excellence in Entrepreneurship & International Business (CEIB) aims to increase economic opportunities for Northern students and South Dakota businesspeople by:

  • Driving growth in entrepreneurship and international business, and
  • Facilitating enterprise creation and expansion

The center's objective is to seamlessly integrate theory with practice, the way "labs" are integrated into a science class. At the CEIB, students' "labs" may take the form of a startup of their own, an institutionally created (such as a gallery or advertising agency) enterprise or a private startup. In this way, students are intimately involved in the creation or expansion of profitable enterprises, with emphasis on creating multinational entities.
