FEDERAL WORKSTUDY

Federal Workstudy is available to students enrolled at least half-time who demonstrate financial need. Workstudy gives you the opportunity to "earn as you learn." Individuals on the workstudy program are paid on a monthly basis for hours worked. These funds should be considered to cover indirect costs since they are not available at the beginning of the term when fee payment is due. Most workstudy awards are based on working approximately 10 hours per week.

Looking for a Job?

Students can access available jobs by logging in to the NSU WolfWork site at https://www.myinterfase.com/northern/student/. You will need your WebAdvisor User Name and Student ID # for password. Directions are available to assist you. Here is a quick list of 2012 spring open positions. You can also print out a quick summer listing or academic year listing of all available workstudy jobs.

STUDENT LABOR

Students wishing to work on campus may apply for student labor positions.  You do not need to apply for financial aid in order to work in these positions. Wage rates and hours will vary depending on the position. Students interested in these positions should access the NSU Wolfwork site or contact offices for information regarding any openings.

DEPARTMENT OF LABOR

A representative from the Department of Labor is available part-time at the Information Booth to assist students who would like to find part-time employment off campus.  Students looking for work should register with the Department of Labor and view posted job positions at the Career Center in room 234 of the Student Center.
