Student Activities
The Office of Student Activities enriches the social, recreational and intellectual lives of students by engaging them in innovative programs, experiential learning and community involvement. We are committed to providing you with meaningful out-of-classroom opportunities that promote leadership, healthy lifestyles and civic responsibility.
Student Activities supports over 70 recognized clubs and organizations, offers a comprehensive intramural sports and wellness program and sponsors activities and special events throughout the year. In addition, we work hand-in-hand with students to design and implement Gypsy Days, Family Weekend and alternative break trips.
There are numerous ways to be involved at Northern State. It’s simply a matter of taking the first step. We encourage you to take full advantage of the programs and services that are funded by your activity fee. What are you waiting for? Get involved!

Need a break or want to catch the latest release? The Office of Student Activities offers discounted Carmike Cinema movie tickets for $7.50 at the NSU Bookstore (located on the lower level of the Student Center). That's a $1.50 savings over regularly priced tickets for shows starting after 6pm.
