 Peni Mounga

 was born in Kailua, Hawaii and raised in Kearns, Utah.  He transferred from Snow College to Northern State University to pursue his education and complete his football eligibility.  Peni graduated from NSU with a Secondary Education degree in Social Sciences and a masters degree in Guidance and Counseling.  He is happily married to Connie and they have two sons and two daughters, Mushu, Jade, Amiotonu, and Polo.

                

 

Katrina Umanah

was born in Muskegon, Michigan and raised in Minnesota.  She transferred to Northern State University from Rochester Community and Techincal College.  Katrina graduated from NSU with a Psychology degree.  She is currently working on her couseling in the agency master's degree.

 

 

 

 

 

Tomee Brown

 Tokaheya Win, is from Wakpala, SD, located on the Standing Rock Reservation which straddles the North Dakota/South Dakota border. She has familial ties to the Ho-Chunk Nation, WI, the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe, NV, and the Klamath Tribe, OR. She graduated from Northern State University in May, 2010, with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Sociology: Professional Specialization and Criminal Justice. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Counseling for Agency settings.

Tiffany Baker

 is a Hunkpapa Lakota from Wakpala S.D.  She grew up in the Wakpala and Kenel area of Standing Rock.  She was raised by her mom, dad and her uncle, Gregory with the traditional Lakota values and is also a descendant of chief Mad Bear. In 2003 she graduated from Wakpala High School  and is now pursuing a degree in Guidance and Counseling here at Northern.  She also has two daughters, Aceanna and Marley.

 

 

 

Mina Thao

 (mee-nah) is 18 years old and of Hmong decent. Born and raised in Saint Paul, MN Mina is currnently a Freshman here at Northern State. Mina graduated from Harding Senior High School, class of 2011. At NSU she will be majoring in Health and P.E. Education.

 

 

 

 Emeline Tuakalau

Goes by Leen (lee-een). A Junior College transfer from Dodge City, KS coming to Northern to join the NSU Volleyball program. She is of Pacific Islander background, notibly of the Island Kingdom of Tonga. Originally from Salt Lake City, UT Emeline is a Junior here at Northern majoring in Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice. "I am excited to be a member of the MSA staff and cannot wait to see what the semester has in store for us as a staff as well as the campus life here at Northern."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Charlotte Sindjeu

Born in Cameroon (Africa), She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 2007. Charlotte graduated from Lincoln High School  in 2009. She choose NSU as a premium institution to pursue her degree in Medical Laboratory Science. She is Married to Martial and they have a daughter Destiny. 

 

 

 

 

 

Konefesi Vaisigano

Known as Fesi (feh-see). Raised in Salt Lake City, UT but originally from Pomona, CA. Konefesi is a Junior College transfer from Casper College in Wyoming. She moved to Aberdeen, SD in the summer of 2010 to join the Lady Wolves Volleyball program. Along with being a student athlete and work-study, she is also a Resident Assistant in the McArthur-Welsh Hall. Majoring in Sociology with an emphasis in Human Services she plans to graduate in the fall of 2012

 Amanda Filiaga

Originally from Pocatello, ID, Amanda transferred to Northern State from Cameron University in Lawton, OK to play volleyball. Majoring in Human Performance and Fitness with a minor in Coaching, she hopes to continue on to graduate school after NSU. Amanda is of Pacific Islander decent, predominately Samoan and Tongan. She is also a resident assistant for Jerde Hall.
