A co-ed residence hall, McArthur-Welsh has 100 sleeping rooms and offers a totally smoke-free environment. Built in 1966 at a cost of $630,000, McArthur-Welsh was dedicated on April 23, 1969. The name honors Grace McArthur, an instructor of Music at Northern from 1928 to 1966, and Emeline Welsh, a professor of English from 1931 to 1966.
