The heating plant structure was built in 1926 at a cost of $171,000 and later expanded and remodeled at a cost of $152,000. The campus converted to gas in 1964 at a cost of $130,000. However, this was changed to electricity in two phases at a cost totaling nearly $300,000. The current structure was built in 1931.
